Kevin Sutton

Kevin Sutton was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. He left to study classical music at the University of Hawaii. He ended up in St. Louis, Missouri where he became a regular in the local blues scene. By day he helped operate West End Music and taught music. At night he played with such notable St. Louis artists as Johnny Johnson, Tommy Bankhead, Steve Pecaro, David Surkamp, and Jimmy Lee Kennet. Performances ranged from appearances at the Heritage Blues Festival, to regular gigs at Soulard blues bars The 1860's and Mike and Min's, as well as opening up at the Westport Playhouse for such acts as Robin Trower and Emmylou Harris. He credits his big brother Casey for making it possible to pursue his love of music over the years, "without his support I would not be playing today; he believed in me."
